Florence Scovel Shinn wrote a small book entitled, The Law of Prosperity and How to Apply it. There are many truths in this gem that I want to share. I use money as an example of prosperity here even though prosperity exists in many aspects of life. But most people equate money with prosperity. I am fascinated with this topic because money and prosperity are energies.
You can easily attract money and prosperity into your life if you vibrate at the same frequency as what you want. However, there are many ways you can actually block the flow of money and Florence Scovel Shinn teaches some ways in her book.
To successfully use the Universal Law of Prosperity, you must have total faith in your ability to be prosperous.
Words and thoughts have a strong vibration. This vibratory force determines what happens in your life, including receiving money. The spoken word releases the energy or money. There is a money supply for every demand. “Ask and ye shall receive.”
Expect that you will receive the money. In practical terms, if you want to receive more money, you must act as if you already have it. You must have absolute faith that it is with you already. Feel the emotions of having the money and visualize the money. You can only receive what you can see yourself receiving.
Prepare for it to come into your energy field. Don’t have a Plan B for it not coming to you. You will receive whatever you prepare for. Let me give an example. Let’s say I haven’t earned enough money to pay my rent this month and it’s due in a few days. I expect the money will come to me. I even visualize it coming to me. I am detached from where and how it comes. But at the same time, I am also figuring out what I will do if it doesn’t come! Do you see that I am NOT in total trust of receiving the money? I am preparing for failing to receive the money.
When you are too close to the situation, you can become fearful and doubt. Fear and doubt can restrict your energy fields and block the energetic flow of money. You can limit your money supply by your limited vision. Your energy fields must be open to receive the money.
You may need someone else to hold the space and certainty that money is coming to you. “No man can fail if someone person sees him successful”.
The vision and action must go hand in hand. You must act first and create the momentum for money to come. “Giving opens the way of receiving”. Tithing or giving 10% of your income generates money flowing to you.
